My career began in the 1980s, when I launched and operated several privately held businesses across New England.
From manufacturing and distribution to professional services, I learned what drives value — and what quietly erodes it.

Those formative years built my expertise in:

  • Strategic growth and acquisition execution
  • Operational optimization and leadership alignment

Each success — and every challenge — reinforced one principle: lasting value isn't created by chance; it's created by strategy.

Expanding Perspective

From Owner to Advisor

In the 1990s and early 2000s, I transitioned from entrepreneur to advisor — leveraging firsthand experience to guide other owners through growth, acquisitions, and exits.

Working with companies ranging from $500,000 to $50 million in revenue, I developed a reputation for strategic clarity, confidentiality, and results.

My focus expanded into:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) — guiding buy- and sell-side clients through each stage of the transaction process
  • Strategic Advisory — designing and executing long-term growth and exit strategies
  • Private Capital Access — helping businesses raise capital through Regulation D offerings

The Founding of RYS & Co.

In the 2010s, I founded RYS & Co. Small and Medium Enterprise Advisors, a firm dedicated to serving privately held companies with Wall Street-level expertise — minus the jargon or pressure.

My goal was simple... deliver professional, discreet strategic guidance to owners ready to take their next step.

Milestone Timeline

  • Began acquiring and divesting businesses; developed expertise in Crisis Management, M&A and capital strategy



  • Expanded into full-service advisory and transaction support for early stage private enterprises. Continued development of micro and small cap public companies.



  • Established RYS & Co. Acquired Small Business Development Group, Inc a publicly traded company.



  • Continued national advisory practice specializing in Strategic Advisory, M&A, and Private Capital Access. RYS&Co changed its name to C2C Private Investment Co., LLC
